Craft South is holding some workshops teaching traditional crafts including the Caspian Sea Socks. These socks are knitted in the countries around the Caspian Sea, eg Iran, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia etc. They are meant to be worn in the home "on the carpet" not in shoes.
The socks are started at the toe, highly patterned, and the heel is added later. The approach is quite different to our Western socks. Interested? Contact me.

End of term
It is our custom to have a small party at the end of school term. Everyone brings a plate of food. We all eat far too much and enjoy all the forbidden goodies like Easter Eggs.
The group will return on April 19.
Shibori Studio workshops will be held on the first 3 weeks in May. It is necessary to book in advance. No more than 8 people in the class. It is spread over 3 weeks so that students have time to do their preparation. It will cover fold and clamp, stitched and capped.
Email me for any questions and to book.
